fight club bc it is a good cliche answer (and the ending was slightly better)
best videogame to movie adaptation = super mario bros, bc the koopa troopaz became some weird brickwall walking things and the movie blew

Forrest Gump. Took the original material, simultaneously cut and expanded on it, and made it much better than the book which is a very hard thing to do.

It was such a great movie, it influenced the writing of the second book.
